Thrifted finds

It's been ages since I've shown my charity shop finds, I've been having a lot of luck lately.
I'm eagerly awaiting the car boot season to start.
I love getting the bargains! not the getting up at stupid o'clock to find them though.

Two cute 50's cat figurines, to add to my growing collection

Hornsea sugar and coffee ceramic jars

Two enamel cooking pots

A pretty tea set

Loads of pyrex for only £12!
I still can't believe I got 36 pieces so cheap

Make do and mend canvas which I hung in the craft room.

It's beginning to feel a lot like spring time.

We finally had some nice weather so we decided to go for a walk along Poets walk at Clevedon
As it was the first nice day in ages it seamed like everyone was out walking their dogs, we saw so many people with cute puppy's!

It was really nice to be outside and not feel freezing, I can't wait for the clocks to go forward.
It will be great to be able to go for walks in the evening again, it has been a very long winter and I'm so ready for the warm weather to arrive.

February Snapshots

February has came and gone. Here's a few of the highlights of my month.

Views over Hasting and Weston Pier, Sunsets and frosty grass.

Buffy playing in the sun, watching the snow fall, enjoying being out in my mums garden and snuggling on the bed.

Been trying to wear more colorful clothes this month, It's hard to believe about a year ago all I wore was black. I've been slowly selling all my old clothes and buying new more colorful things.

Valentines flowers.

Yummy food.

Plenty of thrifting and looking round bookshops .

We played bingo, Ive not played it in years I really enjoyed it, The pub we went to was so cozy and warm I love old country pubs.
Its shuch a shame theres not many around any more.

I'm really  looking forward to  March! Spring is coming, I can't wait for the weather to warm up and be able to go outside without being freezing cold.

Bourbon Biscuits

My favorite biscuits are Bourbons I decided to make my own, I followed this recipe
but i left out the bourbon.

They look messy, it was so hard to cut them evenly then get them on the tray.

I forgot to sprinkle sugar on them before i baked them, so added it after.

They ended up looking a bit rustic, They are really yummy

Snow Day Part 2

The snow has nearly all melted now, but on Saturday we went for a quick walk along the beach.
We only stayed for five minutes as it was freezing.
Ive never been on a beach with snow on before it was really strange, it felt like we was on another planet.

Although I remembered to take my camera, I forgot to put the memory card back in it so I had to take pictures on my phone.

The beach was completely deserted, I think we were the only ones stupid enough to go for a walk.

The woods look like a winter wonderland.

Snow Day

After weeks of feeling envious about the snow everyone else was getting, we finally got some last night.
I love the snow I like the way it makes everything look clean and beautiful and when your out walking its so peaceful and quiet.

Normally when we walk in the snow its windy and freezing and we only make it to the park down the road. But today there was no wind and it was quite mild so we decided to go for a walk in the cemetery, it was beautiful.

The snow was really deep in places.

We walked back through the park, it was full of children sledging.
I can remember spending all day sledging and building snowmen when I was young and only going home to put dry clothes on and grab something to eat.

Its meant to snow again tonight, luckily we have no plans this weekend so I'm hoping we get snowed in and we can spend the weekend drinking tea and reading.
